About Chuck Morgue



The author known as Chuck Morgue was born in Ferriday, Louisiana, in 1979. He has spent his life studying art and literature in Louisiana and Mississippi. He has a pretty decent collection of comic books. He loves Italian food, dark chocolate and extremely sweet tea. He is obsessed with Food Network and Travel Channel. His favorite film is a tie between “The House On Haunted Hill” (1960) directed by William Castle and starring Vincent Price, and "Blade Runner" (1982) directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford. His favorite comic book hero is Aquaman. His favorite musician is Dax Riggs, but also loves My Chemical Romance, Leonard Cohen, Regina Spektor, St. Vincent, Iron and Wine, Arcade Fire, Johnny Cash, Rasputina and Marilyn Manson. His favorite book is "The Thief Of Always" by Clive Barker. His favorite authors include Clive Barker, Anthony Bourdain, Joseph Suglia, David Sedaris, Alan Moore and Poppy Z. Brite. His favorite TV show is Breaking Bad. He has several fetishes including glasses (on ladies), beards (on gentlemen), and tattoos (on both).

In 2007, Chuck created House Of Morgue, an independent publishing company, to unleash his gruesome writings upon the world. His first book was the 2007 exploitation horror novel The Horns Of Evangelina, followed by 2009 culinary satire/thriller novel The Main Course. His latest book is the 2010 splatterpunk torture thriller The Hurricane Party.

Chuck Morgue currently lives in south-west Louisiana with his wife Fallon, and their four children (Izzy, Rowan, Lex and Helena), his feline-demon Fiona and her new batch of evil little kittens.
